Job Description
JOB PURPOSE
• To monitor and maintain control over a team focused on delivering trade finance products using the trade related systems accurately, within the required time frames and strictly in line with the laid down bank’s standards and requirements
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Control and Risk Management
• Manage the trade asset portfolio in line with trade finance policy manual and international guidelines, including processing and monitoring transactions, in compliance with the bank’s policies and processes, adhering to trade finance policy, standard operating procedures, credit terms and conditions and international rules on trade products to the required standard
Relationship Management
• Advise and provide transactional based expertise to the business to ensure accurate and timely conduct in accordance with ICC guidelines and bank procedures and policies
• Establish and maintain professional relationships and connections with local and international banks to ensure accuracy and timely conduct of trade transactions
• Support the manager to ensure the team achieves its objectives to the required standard and all transactions are completed accurately within the agreed timeframes
Reporting
• Produce required reports for MIS reviews with the risk and finance teams in line with the agreed standard
Information and Record Keeping
• Maintain records and information related to the transactions and reconciliation of accounts in line with the banks standards
People Management
• Manage self in line with ADCB’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own and employee contribution to business performance
Policies, Processes, Systems and Procedures
• Implement approved departmental policies, processes and procedures, and ensure employee adherence so that work is carried out to the required standard while delivering the required standards of service to customers and stakeholders
Customer Service
• Demonstrate our promise and apply the ADCB standards to deliver the bank’s required levels of service in all internal and external communication
Skills
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
Minimum Experience
• At least 7 years of experience in Trade Finance products, with 2 to 3 years work experience of leading a small team
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Banking/Business/Accounting or equivalent
Professional Qualifications
• Banking specialization from the Institute of Financial Services like CDCS,URDG,CITF governed by ICC or equivalent
• Islamic Trade certifications will be preferred as additional qualification
