Job Description
JOB PURPOSE : To participate in regular audits in line with audit standards and guidelines in order to meet the objectives of each audit
ACCOUNTABILITIES :
1. Internal Audit Assignments :Conduct audit fieldwork based on the annual audit plan, update work performed in the audit management software on a real-time basis and assist the manager/lead auditor
in preparing review findings in order to ensure accurate
coverage and application of auditing principles and
practices
2. Risk Management : Assist in the preparation of risk registers and audit programmes in line with the required standards to ensure
the development of an effective risk based audit
methodology
3. Consultancy Service : Assist in special assignments and whistle blowing investigations in line with the required standards in order
to provide high level of vigilance and insight to senior
management
4. Policies, Processes,Systems and Procedures:
Adhere to all relevant organisational and departmental
policies, processes, standard operating procedures and
instructions so that work is carried out to the required
standard and in a consistent manner while delivering the
required standard of service to customers and
stakeholders
5. Self-Management: Manage self in line with the bank’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own contribution to business
performance
6. Customer Service Demonstrate : Our Promise and apply the ADCB Service Standards to deliver the bank’s required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions
Skills
Minimum Experience : At least 4 years of experience in operations and financial audits, credit reviews or information systems (IS) audits
Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration,
Economics, Accounting, Finance or Computer Science
Professional Qualifications :Certification in Banking or Accounting or Auditing or experience with reputable organization
Knowledge and Skills : Ability to identify and gather information needed for assignments Knowledge of audit interviewing techniques and guidelines, as well as an ability to objectively question
individuals in order to gather and understand facts about
processes, events or transactions Communications/interpersonal skills Interviewing skills
