JOB PURPOSE
To design, build and implement a robust database structure and comprehensive risk analysis platform capable of computing, analysing and interpreting key portfolio indicators that covers all stages of credit cycle management, asset products and customer segments within retail banking and facilitate mobilising it for effective credit risk and portfolio management
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Portfolio Analysis and Reporting: Deploy effective monitoring mechanisms and build a comprehensive MIS and reporting platform to analyse portfolio performance, including stress testing of portfolio and effectively compare it to the budgets to ensure relevant validation is in place and data is accurate at all times Build and publish net and gross flow models and statistical models to forecast and also track portfolio losses and recoveries against the budgets and capture and monitor the portfolio lead indicators which can bring appropriate changes in the policy and procedures to contain these losses and maintain the portfolio health and profitability within the bank’s risk strategy and
Risk Analytics Platform: Establish a robust risk analytics platform that is comprehensive and built on well-structured database and integrates latest applications and portfolio analysis tools to support multi-dimensional analysis, effectively track the exceptions in portfolio and raise triggers Facilitate running pilots to test effectiveness of implementation of business strategies, and facilitate credit bureau integration, statistical score card implementation and detailed portfolio analysis
Credit Cycle Management, Budget Monitoring and Business Support: Track the productivity and key performance indicators and develop reports using the MIS and reporting platform, to reflect efficiency at each stage of credit cycle management. Assist in promoting portfolio growth through campaign management by providing all credit validations in customer cross sell and upsell bases to BIU and products in order to support in portfolio growth
Constant Feedback: Establish and maintain a constant feedback mechanism with policy on portfolio trends and support the projects team in order to ensure successful and timely deployment of projects
Policies, Processes, Systems and Procedures: Recommend and implement improvements to departmental policies, procedures and processes covering all areas of activity so that all relevant procedural requirements are fulfilled while ensuring that ADCB delivers best-in-class services, products and innovation
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to contribute to organisational and departmental change initiatives, programmes and projects taking into account best practice and standards in the business environment
People Management: Manage self and team in line with ADCB’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own and employee contribution to business performance Manage the effective achievement of the team’s objectives through setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing the team and providing formal and informal feedback to maximise overall performance, engagement and motivation

Skills
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
Minimum Experience
At least 5 years of experience in credit risk management in a financial institution with at least 2 years in a team management role
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Statistics
Professional Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills
Sound experience in portfolio analysis and management
Knowledge of credit and risk management tools
Analytical and logical reasoning
Intermediate MS Office – Word, Excel and PPT
Sound knowledge of application tools – VB, BO, SAS, Tableau, SPSS etc.
Knowledge of database management – SQL, Oracle etc.
Knowledge of statistical score card and credit bureau
