Description |
Java Programming Skills
|
Design, implement and maintain Java applications for the ORMS in order to provide a high level of availability and performance monitoring capability
Participate in all stages of the development process by writing code that is well-designed, efficient, and testable, analysing, programming, testing and debugging the ORMS to ensure its accuracy and ongoing innovation
Review and update the designs to ensure that they adhere to the Java Enterprise Edition standards
Encourage continuous improvement by researching alternative technologies, preparing presentations for architectural evaluation to ensure best practice innovation inclusion |
Data Quality Management
|
Take a proactive approach to data quality to ensure better-informed risk management decisions based on reliable and trustworthy data
Review data quality, page data field input options, conditional logic, validation rules and user guidance, to ensure that data from different sources is integrated accurately and consistently
Perform data validation to ensure accuracy and completeness of data to meet the required quality standards and is fit for purpose
Implement data governance to ensure that appropriate data quality standards are integrated into policies and procedures, system validation logics and procedures are in place to maintain data quality over time |
ORMS Management |
Ensure that the risk management system is up-to-date and functioning optimally to ensure accuracy of data recorded
Manage updates, maintain system configurations, troubleshooting and vendor escalation of any technical issues to ensure accuracy of data maintained
Conduct system and data reviews in line with policies and procedures, implementing any necessary changes to maintain compliance and ensure compliance with regulations and standards |
Reporting and Communication |
Design analytical reports, dashboards and presentation collateral for the purpose of effectively communicating implementation progress, compliance, operational risks and their potential impact to key stakeholders, including senior management and regulators to ensure their knowledge of progress and updates |
Innovation |
Support the development, enhancement and implementation of the Operational Risk (OR) tools across the bank as per the roadmap to ensure its achievement by the set deadlines
Support the framework implementation representing the assessed risk exposure and coverage across the group business units within timelines to ensure its achievement
Contribute to the ongoing development, enhancement and implementation of OR tools the Risk Library, Taxonomies and the ORMS in order to identify improvement and noncompliance areas |
Training and Support
|
Provide training and support to staff on the use of the risk management system, including developing training materials, conducting training sessions, providing ongoing support and guidance in order to support the ongoing focus on areas of risk
Provide support and guidance to RCCs and other relevant internal stakeholders on ORMS related matters in order to deal with any areas of confusion
Support team, or other staff within ORM where required, in carrying out the OR responsibilities to ensure knowledge transfer and effective use of resources |
People Management
|
Manage self and team in line with ADCB’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own and employee contribution to business performance
Organise and supervise the activities and work of the team to ensure that targets and objectives are achieved and the business plan is delivered in line with the required policies, processes, procedures and systems |

Skills

Minimum Experience
|
At least 5 years of work experience of which at least the most recent 3 years of experience should be in Risk System development or management |
Minimum Qualifications |
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or any other related field |

Strong background in risk management systems, configuration and administration of risk management systems Analytical skills, knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming Concepts, understanding of System Design and Architecture, Java Build Tools, Web Technologies, Code Version Control, Unit Testing, Java EE Components, DevOps Tools, API integration and so on Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills Excellent verbal, writing and presentation skills with the ability to interact with senior stakeholders at all levels Able to relay complex technical concept to non-technical audience Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and other related tools |
