Learning Delivery Manager

Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

• To partner with the business to advise on, and integrate digital learning technology and to manage a team focusing on the assessment/re-design of processes; delivery, implementation and evaluation of learning and development interventions aligned to business objectives to ensure digitalization of learning is enhanced, learning objectives are met and the desired return on investment achieved

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Digital Learning Strategy & Integration

• Devise and implement a strategy to lead the digitalization of learning initiatives, develop metrics that capture learning digitalization progression and effectiveness, leverage existing and recommend new ways to use technology/provide alternative learning methods based on industry best practices in order to integrate learning technology across the organization

• Identify new innovations in digital learning and opportunities to optimize existing programmes and make recommendations in order to continuously generate value through learning process re-design and digitalization

Digital Learning Advisory

• Act as subject matter expert and guide the wider HR - Learning & Organizational Development team (HR-L&OD) on the digitalization of learning and development interventions to ensure that the overall HR-L&OD proposition is best in class and reflects industry best practices

• Work in partnership with the business to analyze and identify opportunities to digitalize learning processes and provide support/guidance on embedding these in order to maximize learning capability across the organization

• Attend project status meetings within the business and obtain relevant and applicable information to training programmes and approaches and use this information to update/improve existing offerings in order to meet business needs

Learning Delivery Management

• Oversee overall planning and rollout of apps and other digital learning projects to ensure delivered to required standard within agreed timeframes

• Manage the design and delivery of learning and development solutions using a range of practical and appropriate learning methods, maximizing resource usage and ensuring optimal efficiency in order to ensure business needs are met to the required standards and in the most cost effective manner

• Manage the production of management information, evaluation and learning and development reports and share with key stakeholders to ensure learning and development provided continues to meet the identified needs

Vendor Management

• Manage relationships with external vendors/consultants in order to meet bank-wide development requirements whilst ensuring the bank’s standards are consistently met and adhered to

People Management

• Manage self and team in line with ADCB’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own and employee contribution to business performance

• Organise and supervise the activities and work of the team to ensure that targets and objectives are achieved and the business plan is delivered in line with the required policies, processes, procedures and systems

Policies, Processes, Systems and Procedures

• Implement approved departmental policies, processes and procedures, and ensure employee adherence so that work is carried out to the required standard while delivering the required standards of service to customers and stakeholders

Continuous Improvement

• Manage and motivate the team to ensure they contribute to, and participate in, the identification and implementation of change initiatives, programmes and projects in line with the bank’s standards

Customer Service

• Demonstrate ‘Our Promise’ and apply the ‘ADCB Service Standards’ to deliver the bank’s required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions

Skills

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

Minimum Experience

• At least 8 years of experience in a learning and development function in the banking/financial services industry with demonstrated experience in LMS development, digital publishing, learning mobile/app, or eLearning development, management, and reporting

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant specialization

Professional Qualifications

• Professional qualification in learning and development from ATD (CPLP) or CIPD (CTP) or equivalent

Knowledge and Skills

• Extensive knowledge and application of Microsoft technologies including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)

• SharePoint and website development and design knowledge and application

• Knowledge of adult learning and training evaluation models and methodologies

• Instructional design and facilitation skills

• Learning and development project management skills (ADDIE or SAM)

• Stakeholder and change management skills
