IT Infrastructure Engineer

To administer and troubleshoot IT Infrastructure systems or IT Network devices and provide installation, analysis and user support to ensure high availability in the services across supported platforms

1.Systems and Network Support
Support and maintain IT Infrastructure services across the bank in order to ensure systems are available to the business
Implement changes from either user or business requirements to ensure performance is not degraded by system changes
Design and implement domain policies including MS security policies in coordination with Information Security and Network security to ensure managed systems are fully secure
Submit change management requests to Change Advisory Board, perform changes and tune managed systems accordingly in order to support banking requirements
Identify and troubleshoot issues, formulate solutions on domains and servers or line of business working with other support teams such as Helpdesk to ensure timely resolution
Raise server/system performance issues with relevant support teams to ensure minimal impact to availability of systems

2.Vendor Management
Coordinate with external vendors to ensure services are provided as per agreed SLA’s and TATs

3.Policies, Processes, Systems and Procedures
Adhere to all relevant organisational and departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner while delivering the required standard of service to customers and stakeholders

4.Self-Management
Manage self in line with the bank’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own contribution to business performance

5.Customer Service
Demonstrate Our Promise and apply the ADCB Service Standards to deliver the bank’s required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions

Minimum Experience
At least 6 years of experience in Systems Administration or IT Network field in a large scale production environment
Experience in incident management and resolution, managing software releases and configuration management, banking operations and related problems
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
Professional Qualifications
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
ITIL – Foundation course for IT Service Management
Knowledge and Skills
Problem management and analysis
Organisation and capacity planning (staffing and other IT resources)
Middleware technologies
