Job Description
JOB PURPOSE
• To provide ADCB clients with world class investment advice and services in order to support the achievement of Private Clients revenue targets
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Investment Ideas and Advice
• Develop new investment ideas and provide advice and guidance to Consumer Banking Private Clients colleagues and external clients in order to generate wealth/investment returns for client positions
Market Research and Analysis
• Conduct market research and analyse market data in order to understand business and economic cycles and forecasts of asset classes
Sourcing and Structuring Investment Solutions
• Liaise with external parties to source and structure investment products in order to offer tailored investment products to private clients
Portfolio Management
• In the absence of the department head, make buy/sell decisions on investment portfolios to ensure continuity of portfolio management
Policies, Processes, Systems and Procedures
• Adhere to all relevant organisational and departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner while delivering the required standard of service to customers and stakeholders
Self-Management
• Manage self in line with the bank’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own contribution to business performance
Customer Service
• Demonstrate Our Promise and apply the ADCB Service Standards to deliver the bank’s required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions
Skills
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
Minimum Experience
• At least 10 years of experience in private banking or asset management in an investment advisor or portfolio manager
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Economics
• Professional Qualifications
• CFA or equivalent
Knowledge and Skills
• Understanding of financial markets, drivers and instruments, economics and forecasting
• A good mix of relationship management skills and strong technical knowledge
• Ability to articulate technical information in a simple and understandable way for clients
• Written and spoken Arabic
