Job Description
JOB PURPOSE
Use the retail banking asset portfolio and assist policy manager in developing and bringing appropriate changes to credit policy in line with market trends and shifts in portfolio quality in order to maintain risk-return balance in the portfolio
1. Credit Policy and Processes
Execute the credit policy and procedures for asset products and customer segments on a regular basis ensuring the implementation and roll out of the policy and procedures to credit and business along with managing franchise partners (vendors) to facilitate credit and sales processes
Conduct due diligence on target market companies and real estate developers/projects and perform listing/de listing procedures as per stated policies and procedures in order to ensure SLA timelines are adhered to
Adhere to all relevant organisational and departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner while delivering the required standard of service to customers and stakeholders
2. Portfolio Analysis and Market Study
Analyse the portfolio of asset products and customer segments on all key risk parameters, monitor the policy caps, explore new areas of opportunity and share the findings and breaches with the line managers to take decision on policy and product parameters, maximise portfolio and profitability growth and to ensure effective loss containment
Conduct market study of sectors, industry and economy and publish the study reports in order to show how it relates to the portfolio and affects the performance
3. Business Support
Implement a constant feedback mechanism between business, credit and policy units to provide the required support
Liaise with Collections and support them in regularising salary transfer and assignment for all loan account where salary transfer has stopped and loan servicing is done through cash deposits in order to ensure timely completion of related activities
4. Self-Management
Manage self in line with the bank’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own contribution to business performance
5. Customer Service
Demonstrate our Promise and apply the ADCB Service Standards to deliver the bank’s required levels of service in all internal and external customers interactions
6. Policies, Processes, Systems and Procedures

Skills
Minimum Experience
At least 3 years of experience in risk management in a financial institution or similar term experience in managing credit risk of retail banking products
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or relevant stream
Professional Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills Knowledge of banking products and services
Knowledge of credit and risk management tools
Exposure to portfolio management and risk analytics
Exposure to banking systems and applications
Analytical and logical reasoning
Basic MS Office – Word, Excel and PPT skills
