Accountant - Management Reporting

JOB PURPOSE
To conduct financial analysis and produce accurate financial management information reports in order to meet the departments reporting requirements

1.
Financial Analysis
Analyse trends emerging from actuals or with comparisons to budgets, forecasts and prior periods, write lucid, succinct commentaries on income statement and balance sheet trends for the consumption of senior management and management executive committee
2.
Financial Reporting
Report on balance sheet and income statement trends at bank wide/segment and product level with comparisons to budgets, forecasts and previous periods in order to support management reporting
3.
Policies, Processes, Systems and Procedures
Adhere to all relevant organisational and departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner while delivering the required standard of service to customers and stakeholders
4.
Self-Management
Manage self in line with the bank’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own contribution to business performance
5.
Customer Service
Demonstrate Our Promise and apply the ADCB Service Standards to deliver the bank’s required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions

Minimum Experience
At least 3 years of experience in financial analysis, management accounting and preparation of management reports for banks

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting

Professional Qualifications
CIMA/ CPA/CA/CPA/CFA/MBA

Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of financial accounting in banks
Analytical skills
MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Access)
Knowledge in business intelligence tools
