JOB PURPOSE
• To conduct and manage the daily operations of the bank’s Data Centre in order to ensure optimal availability of services within agreed compliance frameworks, service level agreements (SLAs) and turnaround times (TATs)
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Site Safety and Security
• Monitor and maintain quality controlled safety and security procedures to ensure required levels of safety measures are in place
• Communicate and coordinate the status of incidents to ensured issues are resolved within agreed turnaround times
Data Centre Operations
• Manage the team responsible for providing End Of Day operations and first level support to ensure activities are completed as per the approved procedures
• Conduct NOC Activities within the data center as per shift requirements in order to support business functions
• Manage escalation of issues to second level, address issues and keep up to date information about the progress of problem resolution in order to provide updates to senior management
• Manage and review access to privileged systems as per requests received, control equipment movement in and out of Data Centre to ensure adherence to agreed processes
Storage, Archival and Retrieval of Data
• Conduct and monitor the backup/archiving, scheduling and restore/retrieval of data as scheduled in order to support business operations
Analysis and Management Information
• Perform reviews in terms of space, power and cooling in the Data Centre in order to support capacity planning
• Report progress and outstanding issues to management and oversee all high priority incidents to ensure closure within agreed turnaround times
People Management
• Manage self and team in line with ADCB’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximize own and employee contribution to business performance
• Organize and supervise the activities and work of the team to ensure that targets and objectives are achieved and the business plan is delivered in line with the required policies, processes, procedures and systems

• Implement approved departmental policies, processes and procedures, and ensure employee adherence so that work is carried out to the required standard while delivering the required standards of service to customers and stakeholders
Continuous Improvement
• Manage and motivate the team to ensure they contribute to, and participate in, the identification and implementation of change initiatives, programmes and projects in line with the bank’s standards
Customer Service
• Demonstrate Our Promise and apply the ADCB Service Standards to deliver the bank’s required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
Minimum Experience
• At least 8 years of experience in an IT banking environment with a data centre background
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Engineering or technical subject such as Management Information Systems
Professional Qualifications
• ITIL or a similar qualification associated with IT service
Knowledge and Skills
• Process management
• Project management
• Problem management and analysis
• Organisation and capacity planning (staffing and other IT resources)
