Specialist – Risk & Control Treasury Operations

Job Purpose:

• Perform Treasury operational risk and control functions supporting the trade processing unit in relation to Static data setup, Operational reporting, independent reconciliation, hedge documentation validation & monitoring and Treasury system UAT support.
• Perform day to day activities related to Static data setup in Treasury systems, hedge documentation review & daily monitoring and support the trade processing team on queries and Treasury systems UAT.
• Report on Treasury back office functions related to various Treasury products to provide management finance reporting in line with the required standards
• Perform independent reconciliation on certain trade, position and GL accounts and ensure breaks are timely escalated in an appropriate manner
• Liaise with internal departments and auditors as instructed in matters of Treasury Back office operations to ensure all related functions are executed accurately and within the required timeframes
• Manage self and team in line with ADCB’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximize own and employee contribution to business performance
• Adhere to all relevant organizational and departmental policies, process, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner while delivering the required standard of service to customers and stakeholders.
• Manage and motivate the team to ensure they contribute to, and participate in, the identification and implementation of change initiatives, programmes and projects in line with the bank’s standards.

Required Experience

At least 5-8 years of banking experience in Treasury Operations/Middle office, Treasury Risk Monitoring, Reporting and Reconciliation          

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting

Professional certifications in Finance/Accounting/Treasury Operations

Product knowledge & skills in the following areas:

• Derivatives, Collateral Management, Debt and capital market instruments knowledge
• Securities (Investments) products knowledge
• Treasury product accounting
• Hedge accounting & hedge documentation
• Treasury MIS generation
• Computer literacy in MS Excel/Word
