JOB PURPOSE
To manage the governance and compliance regulatory requirements of the bank within Corporate and Investment Banking (CIBG), taking day to day responsibility for the gaps in adherence identified during both internal and external compliance audits, overseeing the end-to-end implementation of identified improvement areas to ensure CIBG aligns to the regulations and compliance expectations
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Stakeholder Management: Provide support, advice and guidance on Corporate Governance Framework, processes and other regulatory requirements in order to gain their commitment and understanding to the changes required
Collaborate on related queries to ensure confirmation of agreed resolutions are issued in line with the requirements and process
Support the team in ensuring adherence of the requirements in timely manner in order to respond to related activities quickly, effectively and within agreed turnaround times (TATs)
Risk Management: Conduct internal quality assurance audits, identifying improvement areas and overseeing the implementation of the compliance updates in order to ready the department ahead of an external audit
Develop and oversee internal control systems in order to prevent or deal with violations of external regulatory guidelines and internal policies
Perform adequate care and due diligence in day-to-day conduct in order to protect the bank from financial and non-financial loss and compliance with the UAE banking legislation and regulations
Adhere to legal, corporate and regulator procedures to ensure the banks full compliance
Reporting and Record Keeping: Monitor, track, analyse and report findings, taking necessary action and controls in order to adhere to the regulations, maintain/update records and information related to regulatory/compliance requirements
Manage and track project deliverables, maintaining complete and updated information of the status of projects, reporting on potential issues in order to keep the relevant CIBG teams updated on progress
Oversee the submission and maintenance of Management Information System (MIS) in order to report daily activities to relevant teams including the Line Manager
People Management: Manage self and team in line with ADCB’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own and employee contribution to business performance
Organise and supervise the activities and work of the team to ensure that targets and objectives are achieved and the business plan is delivered in line with the required policies, processes, procedures and systems
Policies, Processes, Systems and Procedures: Implement approved departmental policies, processes and procedures, and ensure employee adherence so that work is carried out to the required standard while delivering the required standards of service to customers and stakeholders
Continuous Improvement: Manage and motivate the team to ensure they contribute to, and participate in, the identification and implementation of change initiatives, programmes and projects in line with the bank’s standards
Customer Service: Demonstrate Our Promise and apply the ADCB Service Standards to deliver the bank’s required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions
المهارات
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:
Minimum Experience: At least 5 years of experience preferably in the banking industry in a support function
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Business/Banking or equivalent
Knowledge and Skills:
Excel, Word and MS Office skills
Written and spoken English
Working knowledge of the current regulatory environment An understanding of corporate governance and risk management
