JOB PURPOSE
To assess and make decision on lending proposals by applying credit risk
management skills with an objective to maintain optimum risk-return
balance in retail assets portfolio
ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Credit Analysis
Conduct basic credit analysis and prepare credit
assessment notes, conduct analysis of the profit and loss,
balance sheet review, valuation analysis, client credit
interview and bank statement review to assess the
lending proposal as per specified policies and prepare the
credit evaluation reports
2.Portfolio Management
Approve lending proposals as per the delegation matrix
and policies and use credit skills to ensure quality of
portfolio is within the prescribed risk appetite with
controlled delinquency and losses
3. Process Efficiency
Meet the service level agreement on turnaround time,
reduce and improve rework rate and process related
errors to prescribed threshold and no policy related errors
to ensure delivery of optimum service standards for both
internal and external customers
4. Constant Feedback
Establish and maintain a constant feedback mechanism
between credit, collections, fraud and policy units on
material observations in applications that may be
instrumental in calibrating processes and policies for
better credit risk management
5. Policies, Processes, Systems and Procedures
Adhere to all relevant organisational and departmental
policies, processes, standard operating procedures and
instructions so that work is carried out to the required
standard and in a consistent manner while delivering the
required standard of service to customers and
stakeholders
6. Self-Management
Manage self in line with the bank’s people management
policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure
adherence and to maximise own contribution to business
performance
7. Customer Service
Demonstrate our Promise and apply the ADCB Service
Standards to deliver the bank’s required levels of service
in all internal and external customers interactions
المهارات
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
At least 2 years of experience in credit risk management
in a financial institution, preferably credit underwriting in
retail banking
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance
Professional Qualifications Knowledge and Skills
Working knowledge of banking and financial services
Knowledge of credit risk management tools and financial
statement analysis
Analytical and logical reasoning with good negotiation
skills
Intermediate MS Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Product specific underwriting knowledge
